In this video we take a look at the FIRMA sneak peak demo for the Oculus rift DK2.

The Firma demo gives you a sneak peek at the flight mechanics of the game with a collection of missions and tasks taking place on the toasty surface of mars.

The game runs well with the DK2 and it's yet another demonstration of how well cockpit space games work with the Rift. You really do feel as if you are inside a vehicle peering out over an alien world.

If you enjoyed lunar flight then I'd certainly recommend trying FIRMA. Though more arcade in its presentations and physics it very much has the same experiential feel to it which can only be a good thing !

The FIRMA demo will be out next week at which point we will post a link to the download and you can then review it for yourself !

I never had a chance to play Bubble Bobble in the arcade but now thanks to New Retro arcade the Oculus rift DK2 and a Datal arcade pro stick I can come close to the experience.

I highly recommend playing New Retro Arcade with a proper arcade stick as it really adds to the experience and helps sell the feeling that you are playing on a real arcade machine.

Surprisingly everything works incredibly well with no noticeable latency from the controller or the game, so much so that this is now my favorite way to play old MAME games !

We review Lunar Flight With the Oculus rift DK2 and find out that it's most certainly a must have VR title !

If a developer took the concept of Atari's Lunar Lander then turned it into more of a simulator along with multiple missions and near seamless VR support Lunar lander is probably what you would get.

Please be aware that in this review we focus on the virtual reality / Oculus Rift Development kit 2 implementation !

You can buy the game here http://www.shovsoft.com/lunarflight/

The system used to review this game was a core i5 2500k , GTX970 with 8GB ram and windows 7. The game ran exceptionally well with no jitter or frame rate issues.

Here we find ourselves at the Lets Race simulation centre located a stones throw away from Gatwick airport in Horley, Surrey.

LetsRace is the only venue in the United Kingdom that boasts publicly accessible motion platforms available all year round.

The simulators are networked together allowing people to show up and race each other to get a loose idea of what its like to drive a F1 car.

We had a fantastic time chatting with the staff as well as other people at the LetsRace venue even bumping into fellow Sim-Racers which was quite a surprise as we all know only 6 exist in the world.

It was clear that the simulators are set up to make them publicly accessible with steering torque/FFB set relatively low, along with brake and accelerator pedals that more closely resemble the feel of a road car than that of a race car.

All in all I think the appeal of LetsRace is that it allows anyone to simply jump-in and drive with no prior experience giving a good taster of simulated racing to people who would otherwise never know about it.

If you happen to be near Gatwick airport in the UK and felt like a bash in a simulated F1 car then I'd certainly recommend checking it out, if not just for the interesting experience of sitting in a motion platform.

LetsRace not only offers its simulator experiences but the venue contains a full bar as well as facilities to accommodate the younger wannabe race drivers with non motion simulators running Gran Turismo.

I'd like to thank the staff and people we met at LetsRace for making our visit so enjoyable and look forwards to seeing you all again in the future.

You can book time at LetsRace or read more about them by going to their website here: http://www.letsrace.co.uk/
